For more than 60 years, business owners, executives, and advisors like you have been using aircraft to make the most effective use of your time. In today’s ever-challenging economy, as you fly the more than 30,000 turbine aircraft between and among cities and continents worldwide, you need one go-to source for the best, most up-to-date information on the business of owning, operating, and using corporate aircraft.

Since 2014, Business Aviation Advisor has been that source: bringing you articles and podcasts that present timely, critical information written by industry experts on virtually every aspect of business aviation. Whether you own and operate a jet, turboprop, or fractional share, or use a jet card or occasionally charter, Business Aviation Advisor is here to keep you informed.

I’m Ryan Waguespack, the new Publisher of Business Aviation Advisor, here to continue promoting the ideals of our founding Publisher, Gil Wolin: education, advocacy, and safety. Like Gil, I have a passion for aviation. I learned to fly in my early 20s, and later chose to get out of the cockpit to focus on the business side of business aviation, building multiple aircraft management and repair stations around the country, doing aircraft transactions, and most recently, advocating for the industry as Executive Vice President of the National Air Transportation Association (NATA).

In my 20 years of working with owners and bizav users like you, I know first-hand how important it is to have access to information you can trust. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to join the BAA staff, and our nine-member Advisory Board, to bring you Business Aviation Advisor – your best source for information on the business of business aviation!

And we hope you will join us in honoring Gil’s life, his 50-year career in business aviation, and his dedication to helping young people get a start in the industry by supporting the Gil Wolin Memorial Scholarship at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

On behalf of the entire BAA staff, thank you.

Ryan Waguespack joined the National Air Transportation Association (NATA) leadership team in November 2018 as Senior Vice President of Aircraft Management, Air Charter Services, and MROs – advancing a number of programs and efforts, including leading the charge in helping to end worldwide illegal charter activities, raising awareness of the value of aviation businesses to communities surrounding GA airports, overseeing the expansion of NATA’s training program platform, and assisting hundreds of aviation businesses navigate financial and regulatory relief programs.

As NATA’s Executive Vice President, Waguespack led its regulatory, industry, and member outreach efforts and programs, while taking on additional responsibility for safety program development.

Waguespack formerly was Vice President of Business Development at Summit Aviation and served in various business development roles for charter and management operations, as well as aircraft sales. He is the founder and owner of General Aviation Consultants in Birmingham, AL, and founded the Alabama Business Aviation Association in 2015. He is a frequent speaker at international, national, and state conferences.
